We're a small energy startup rebranding before our Series A, and our current logo feels like every other cleantech company. How do you decide when to trust gut feeling over the strategy deck when picking a visual direction?

Finding experts to answer

Seb de la GuardiaBest match · Creative Director, Brand + Product

In short: Gut and strategy don't compete. The strategy deck should rule out what's irrelevant, and your gut should choose among the directions that survive.

Use Sabli: we're a 12-person B2B analytics startup relaunching our marketing site before a Series A announcement in 8 weeks. Marketing wants to edit pages without engineers, but our devs want to stay in React. Should we go headless CMS with Next.js or something like a visual builder, and what would you scope for launch?

Sabli · match_minds → Pascal Hegemann’s mind

In short: It depends on who edits it, and here that's marketing, so go with Framer. If you're already on WordPress, stay there with Gutenberg instead.

/sabli ask inês Our nonprofit keeps treating design as 'making the slides pretty' at the end. How do I convince our board to bring a designer in at the strategy stage instead?

Sabli APP Thinking the way Inês would…

Inês Ayer · AI mindAPP

In short: Reframe design as the discipline that turns your mission into something people can understand, trust and act on, which makes it a strategy question, not a finishing touch.

@Sabli ask constanca, what would Constanca do first?

Constanca's mind

In short: Before talking about models, metrics or tools, I check whether the data actually exists and whether I can trust it. That means EDA[^1] first. If the data isn't reliable or can't be traced, I don't build.
